Welcome to our quick tutorial on effectively boosting posts for more views on Meta (Facebook & Instagram). While high-quality content is essential, having a well-thought-out strategy is equally important to ensure your posts reach a wider audience.
Watch the video and read the tutorial below for a simple and cost-effective ad strategy that any brand can implement:
1. Login on Meta as your brand or page.
Simply click on Meta Business Suite located in the upper corner or visit https://business.facebook.com
Boosting your posts for better views is now made easier with the two versions of Meta Suite in the backend. Let’s explore them:
Version 1: Look for the “Business Suite” title, and you’ll find a menu dropdown where your account is located.
Version 2: Click on the “More Button” to access a menu dropdown of the brands.
2. Boosting a post.
When posting multiple times a week, you don’t have to boost every single one. Instead, select the most popular post of the week. Begin by boosting one post per week for the entire duration.
For example:
This particular post receives 45 reactions, that’s a clear indication of its popularity. We choose to boost this post due to its traction and appeal to the audience throughout the week.
A. “Boost post”.
Click “Boost Post”. This is a basic type of ad to run.
B. “Goal”
In the “Goal” section, choose “Automatic.” By selecting “Automatic,” Facebook’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) will optimize your goal for increased engagement, ensuring your post reaches a wider audience and gets more reactions.
C.Turn on “Advantage + Creative”
With “Advantage + Creative” enabled, you’ll enhance the performance of your boosted post.
D. “Button”
Select the most suitable call-to-action for your ad. For this example, we can choose “Learn More” and enter the website URL.
By customizing your call-to-action, you can encourage your audience to take the desired action effectively.
E. Crop Your Image
You can crop the image as needed.
F. Special Ad Category
Turn this on if your ad falls under categories such as politics, real estate, employment, or any other category not relevant to the average business.
G. Audience Details
Customize your audience by entering relevant details based on the post type. Specify age, location, and detailed demographics such as “Parents” and “Interests.” Once done, save this audience setting. By tailoring your audience details, you can target the right people and maximize the impact of your post.
For a newly started page, it’s not advisable to use “People who like your page” as the audience. It’s better to utilize this option once your audience has grown larger. Instead, consider selecting either “People who like your page” and “People who are similar to them” or “People In Your Local Area.
By making these audience selections wisely, you can target the right users and build a strong online presence.
H. Schedule, Scale Your Budget and Boost
1. Choose your ad’s start date on Monday, and you can run it for 5 days. If your business offers online booking, consider extending it to 7 days, allowing customers to book online or connect via phone. However, it’s best to schedule it within the 5-day work week.
2. Scale your budget and estimate the number of people who will see your ad for different budgets. We recommend starting with at least $10 – $20 per week.
3. Double-check all the details, and once everything is complete, click “Boost Post Now.”
Following these steps will help you effectively reach your target audience and drive better results.
