Celebrate and Empower Women in Business

A beautiful way to celebrate and empower women in business and beyond is the day of International Women’s day this coming March 8, 2024.

Meet Heather, the heart and soul behind our team at BlueHuki. She’s not just our CEO; she’s the driving force behind the belief that celebrating and empowering women in business is the key to diversity, innovation, and economic growth.

Her first exposure to this powerful concept was while working for a pharmaceutical company in India. One of the other MIT students with her was working in microfinance giving loans to mostly women to start businesses and support their families. This was transforming the lives of women in India.

BlueHuki is a Certified Women-Owned Small Business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Heather is also a member of NAWBO. Our team consists of military spouses, teachers and professionally-educated marketers.

Heather shares her story about the female entrepreneurs who made a significant inspiration to her life and business.

Female Entrepreneurs That Inspires Heather’s Journey In Business

Heather: ” You know, it’s funny how certain stories can resonate with you and become a guiding light. One of the first highly successful female entrepreneurs I remember growing up is Oprah Winfrey. Her ability to overcome adversity and build an empire based on authenticity and kindness is truly remarkable. Oprah’s journey has taught me the importance of staying true to myself and to uplift others.

Another trailblazer who has inspired me is Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx. Her entrepreneurial spirit and determination to revolutionize an entire industry is something I deeply admire. Sara’s story reminds me that innovation and success often come from daring to be different, even when faced with challenges.

And then there’s Malala Yousafzai. While not a traditional entrepreneur, her unwavering commitment to girls’ education and her resilience in the face of adversity is awe-inspiring. Malala has shown me the power of using your voice to make a positive impact in the world.
