This Father’s Day, I wanted to take a moment to share a personal reflection and a story of how my own father has influenced my life and ignited my passion for entrepreneurship.
A Father’s Influence: From Family Business to Professional Passion
My passion for small business started when I started my first job helping with marketing for my Father, who still runs an engineering firm in Seattle. I witnessed first-hand the dedication, hard work, and challenges involved in running a business. It was there that my passion to see entrepreneurs succeed began to take shape.
My career path went from training as a scientist at MIT, Johns Hopkins, and in labs around the world, to a lauded salesperson, and full circle back to helping entrepreneurs become more successful.
Embracing My Entrepreneurial Family History
My Grandfather and Father were both entrepreneurs and engineers in Cleveland, Ohio, and Honolulu, Hawaii. Both had stellar professional reputations, but running a business did not always come naturally to them. Seeing their struggles ingrained in me a passion to help top-notch professionals succeed in business.
Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit that ran through the generations in my family, this shared connection and understanding led me back to my roots, working alongside entrepreneurs and business owners, helping them navigate the ever-changing landscape of business.

Father’s Day is not only a day to celebrate and honor our fathers, but a time to ,honor the influential Father figures in our lives who shaped us, guided us, and provided support and a strong foundation for us to achieve our goals and build a better future for ourselves and our businesses.
Beyond my family, many of you have been my most inspiring mentors! Whether we are in the trenches together or connected over shared experiences, I am thankful to have met each of you on this journey.
